About Looye Kwekers

For almost 80 years, Looye Kwekers has been letting people enjoy exceptionally delicious tomatoes. We are proud of our family business, which has 5 growing locations in Naaldwijk and Burgerveen, as well as a packaging facility in Naaldwijk. The construction of a new growing location in Burgerveen is planned for 2026. This will expand our cultivation area to 40 hectares. In collaboration with our contract growers, we are constantly working to grow the most flavorful tomatoes. Our consumer brands, Looye Honingtomaten (Honey Tomatoes), Looye Joyn tomatoes, and Looye To Go tomatoes, are available internationally. Together with 600 colleagues, you will supply the shelves of leading retailers and fruit and vegetable specialists with our delicious tomatoes.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

We are looking for a Labor Manager / Team Leader Greenhouse for one of our locations in Burgerveen. In this role, you are the primary point of contact for our employees and agency workers. You ensure optimal staff scheduling, guide employees in their development, and create a working environment where people enjoy their work and achieve results together.

Together with your assistant team leaders, the cultivation specialist, and our employment agency partners, you ensure that everything runs smoothly. In doing so, you not only keep a close eye on the daily operations but also look ahead to the planning for tomorrow, next month, and even further.

Core responsibilities for this role: 

• You motivate the team and ensure that everyone is enjoying their work;

• You are responsible for the labor planning for today and several months ahead;

• You closely monitor labor standards and make adjustments where necessary;

• You are given a lot of responsibility and influence over the daily operations;

• You actively contribute ideas for process improvements and efficiency;

• You help build a new, modern greenhouse and the growth of Looye;

• You work with enthusiastic colleagues within a dedicated family business;

• You make a direct contribution to the quality of a product known for its taste.

In addition, you will:

• Receive a gross monthly salary between €2,800 and €4,600, depending on the knowledge and experience you bring.

• Receive a full travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer. Your bicycle rides are also reimbursed.

• Benefit from a favorable employment conditions package under the Greenhouse Horticulture collective labor agreement (CAO Glastuinbouw). This includes a good pension scheme, 8.33% holiday allowance, and 25.5 vacation days per year.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

You enjoy leading a team. You are flexible and good at prioritizing. You like variety, because no two days are the same.

Furthermore, you have:

• MBO+ (vocational+) working and thinking level and 3 years of leadership experience.

• Whether you have already gained experience in horticulture or simply get enthusiastic about working with a beautiful natural product: we are primarily looking for someone who wants to immerse themselves in our sector and gets energized by it.

• Proficiency in the Dutch language and speak English. (Proficiency in a Slavic or Roman language is a major plus).

• Proficiency in Excel.
