"I would recommend NL Jobs because it is a company that does not forget its workers"

Please introduce yourself:

Hi, my name is Andra Putniņa and I am from Latvia. I work in packing at Greenpack. Before I started working for NL Jobs I also had some different jobs. For example I worked in the greenhouse, in a cheese factory. I also worked as a cleaner of camping houses as well as I had a job in harvesting pears. I have different hobbies, I enjoy drawing, singing and writing poetry. I also grow flowers myself. Further I like to spend time near open water. My future plans consist of working in the Netherlands for a long time. I want to learn the Dutch language. I wish to get accustomed with living here, but never forget my home country Latvia.

What do you think of the Netherlands?

I like everything in the Netherlands. The nature, but also the people here. Also I like the overall calm everywhere.

What does your working day look like?

Currently I work in a company called Greenpack. I pack tomatoes. Work starts at 7AM, but before that I like to chat and enjoy a cup of coffee with my colleagues in the company cantina. After, following strict hygiene rules and wearing special protective clothes, I go to my workplace at G2, where my table and tomatoes are waiting for me. At work fast hands as well as a bit of logic are essential to reach the norm. I am happy to be able to reach it. I like our supervisors who know how to smile and encourage the workers and explain and provide assistance to us when necessary. Hours fly by when packing tomatoes. After work I like to drop by at the reception desk to say a good word or just chat a bit with the nice and sincere girls Lita Saulīte and Vita Kandavniece.

Tell us about your experiences with NL Jobs:

I started working for NL Jobs in February 2020. The Riga office is so special with its care for their clients that went to the Netherlands to make a living. I like the fact that we are not forgotten. Now and then we receice calls asking us questions such as "how are you doing, is everything ok, do you have any issues". Also a big thanks for the flowers that we received during the contest. Thank you for being there for us. There is always room for improvement. Something additional could be made for the workers to spend their free time in the workers’ hotel. There are a lot of youngsters and middle aged people who would welcome the chance to spend their free time in the weekends more productively, rather than watching TV in their rooms.  I would recommend NL Jobs because it is a company that does not forget its workers. There is a good organization of ocuments, communication and transport.
